Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Smart Bounce & Spin Pony

Madelyn had the first Fisher-Price bounce and play toy, it was a zebra.  It Bounce and Learn Pony
stayed in our living room for over a year and half and it was so cute because she would randomly get on and bounce and spin.

Now, we have the Bounce and Learn Pony in our living room and it's a totally different experience and she appears to be having just as much if not more fun with it.

The Bounce and Learn Pony is an active learning toy that interacts with the television.  The Pony uses a wireless device to connect with the TV delivering animated content.  Madelyn interacts with the toy and TV by bouncing up and down and spinning a roller on the handle bars.  I can choose the level of play and audio options (really handy!) so as she has learned skills it is easy to move up to the next level.  There was a little bit of a learning curve so you will want to stay in the room the first few times your toddler gets on the Bounce and Learn Pony.  After that, you should be able to run into the kitchen to fix dinner or vacum a couploe of rooms.  The Bounce and Learn Pony doesn't have to be connected with the TV to be interactive.   It will still play songs and sound effects from the pony itself.

Littletikes-matching
Little Tikes is known for making colorful, fun, and educational toys for kids.  Sebastian, now 9 years old, had a Little Tikes picnic table, toddler bed, an outdoor play house, and little climber with a slide.  Our house and yard could have been a Little Tikes advertisement!

You can't go wrong with Little Tikes which recently came out with a line of Green toys including the Bamboo 3-D Memory Matching Game,  Bamboo Tangram Game, Travel Flash Card Assortment: Numbers, Toddler Words, Subtractions, and Card Games: Old Maid, Go Fish and Slap Jack.

Madelyn loves the Little Tikes Bamboo 3-D Memory Matching Game.  The wood tiles are easy to pickup and hold and the cute character pictures on the tiles are colorful and easy for little eyes to remember and recongnize.

Besides being fun and educational, toys in Little Tikes' new line of Green toys are made from real babmoo (a renewable, sustainable, natural material), soy based ink, 100% reclylced paper and come in cases made from a biodegradable material called CBR (Corn Based Resin).

Painted children’s room decor from Tatutina

Tatutina-binsMadelyn is past the 'nursery room' stage so we've been transi
tioning to decor pieces that are more bright and vibrant in color.  Pastels and light colors were wonderful for her first year but I think her room needs brighter colors now.  Tatutina children's room decor pieces are adorable and would be great for any toddler's room.

Tatutina's "Happy painted gifts for a happy lifestyle" are beautifully designed wooden pieces, and are painted with vibrant colors including pinks, purples, blues and reds.  Tatutina uses non-toxic paint and sealers and the edges of the wooden pieces are nice and smooth so I wouldn't worry about Madelyn getting a splinter or licking herself into toxicity.  Yes, I worry about those things!

You can shop by collection such as the Tatutina Flowers Collection pictured here.  Items in the collections include book-ends, a keepsake box, mini-bins, and a wastebasket.  I love the hand-painted look and feel of Tatutina's decor pieces and can imagine that Madelyn will like these pieces well into her tween years if not longer.  The Dinosaurs, Animals and Sports designs are great for a little boy's room.

Prices are in the $20 range.

Tatutina children's room decor and gift items are available at the Tatutina store!

Little People Learn About Town

Little-people-madelynWe've had Little People in our home since 2001 when Sebastian was about two.  Granted, they've been in the actic for a few years since but Madelyn is 2
1/2 now and loves Little People.  A few months ago we pulled Sebastian's old Little People Zoo and Airport out of the attic and now she has one in her room and the other in her play room.  The Airport just about went with us to Grandmother's house yesterday, but it's not the most convenient size for traveling with.  From what I see of the new Little People playsets, they are more compact now than they were in 2001.

The Little People Learn About Town playset is compact, unfolds, has a carry handle, and is jam packed full of fun activities and little people.  Madelyn can take Sonya Lee and Eddie to the doctor, the pet
shop or the tree house to play.   There are 4 parts to the Little People Learn About Town with each part having two sides.

The Little People Learn About Town playset is available for about $45 at Amazon.com

Cranium Bloom: Let’s Go to the Zoo Seek & Find puzzle

Cranium® Bloom™
is a new line of games, books, puzzles, and toys for preschoolers ages 3+ and they are so much fun!
We tried out the Cranium® Bloom™ Let’s Go to the Zoo Seek & Find puzzle and the Cranium® Bloom™ Let’s Play Count & Cook game.

Let’s Go to the Zoo Seek & Find puzzle is not just a puzzle but a seek and find game as well making it a puzzle that your preschooler will want to put together and play over and over again.  The puzzle pieces are large for little hands, and the picture is made up of whimsical, vibrant images of zoo animals.

Get a closer look at Cranium® Bloom™ products below.

First your preschooler will piece together the puzzle. Then you will choose a book of cards, beginner or advanced. Each book includes 15 seek & find cards that show an image or a color for your child to find in the puzzle.  Three year olds should start with the beginner book which asks the child to find things like ‘something blue’, and ‘3 lions’. The color or the requested image is shown on the card so your preschooler can use the card as a reference.  The book and cards in next level, advanced, request that your child find things like ‘something that starts with a Z’ and ‘5 bananas’.
When your child finds the requested color, or image(s) she uses the included erasable pen to circle it, then you move on to the next card in the book until all of the images or colors in the book are found.

Cranium® Bloom™ products are available at Amazon.com or on the
Cranium® website.
