Puppy Training Guide – a website review just in time for those Christmas puppies!

Getting a puppy is a huge decision and one to not be taken lightly.  This is the time of year when a lot of parents decide to get a puppy and a site to visit pre and post puppy purchase/adoption is Puppy Training Guide.  This site covers all types of puppy training topics including socializing and housebreaking a new puppy. If you are going to get a puppy, especially if you have kids, it is extremely important to understand the ins and outs of owning and caring for a puppy.

Here is a snippet from the “An Introduction to Training Your Puppy” article on Puppy Training Guide:

When you first get a new puppy, aside from the excitement of taking home a cute and loveable new friend, one of the things that you must consider is how you are going to deal with puppy training. There are a lot of different ways that you can approach puppy training, and whichever one you decide to use, it’s important to remember that training your puppy is one of the most valuable and rewarding things that you can do to build the greatest possible relationship with your new best friend.

Puppy training isn’t just about teaching your dog to go outside to go to the toilet. It’s also about teaching your dog about acceptable behaviors, and how to respond to you as its master. This means that when you are training your puppy you will be teaching it to learn some basic commands, such as sit and stay, and also having fun by learning how to walk on a leash and play fetch with a favorite toy.

As far as puppy training website’s go Puppy Training Guide is definetely one of the best and is one to bookmark.  I’m sure the author will keep adding new, useful articles often.
Puppy Training Guide is an information packed website great for new and experienced puppy owners.  The site’s uncluttered design, great puppy training articles, and the author’s personable writing style make it easy to navigate and to remember.. you’ll remember what website to go to for advice the next time your puppy has an accident!  I recommend turning to Puppy Training Guide for information both pre and post puppy purchase/adoption so you familiarize yourself with the reality of owning a puppy.

If you have an older child, age 10+, and are considering getting a puppy it would be great to print a few of the articles and have your child read them so you are sure he/she has is aware of the time and responsibility involved in owning a puppy, whether theirs or yours.  Puppy Training Guide will provide both you and your kids with knowledge and confidence when it comes to your new puppy!

Progresso Panko Crispy Bread Crumbs review + coupons and a giveaway!

You’re a mom, therefor, you are a cook.. and a house cleaner, and an errand manager, and a pediatrician, and a tutor.. ok, I’ll stop now.
Back to being a cook.. I know you spend a lot of time in the kitchen both baking and cleaning.. why not switch things up a little and make the kid’s next batch of chicken nuggets with Progresso’s Panko Crispy Bread Crumbs? You will love them and so will your kids.. mine do!

What is Panko?

Why, it is yummy deliciousness! That’s what Panko is. Don’t quote me though because I’m not sure that’s the exact definition of Panko.
Panko is Japan’s secret ingredient for crunch. A flaky bread crumb with a coarse texture and jagged edges, panko imparts a delicate crispiness perfect for frying or baking. For nearly a decade, panko has been popping up on the plates of fine dining restaurants, but for the home chef, panko has been difficult to find. Not anymore. Progresso Foods introduces its newest gourmet bread crumb, panko, in two flavors, plain and Italian.

Panko breadcrumbs are great to use for baked chicken nuggets, fish, and as a crispy breading for meats and vegetables.
No, I didn’t make the delicious looking Parmesan Herb-Crusted Turkey Scaloppine (recipe here) featured to the left here.  The food that I concoct bake doesn’t come anywhere close to looking that nice when I’m done with it but this is a great example of one dish you can prepare using Progresso’s Panko breadcrumbs and my readers deserve to see only the most beautifully prepared food on this site! 🙂

Visit the Progresso website to get more information about their Panko Crispy Bread Crumbs, great recipes complete with with pairings, and learn about their other products including Progresso broths which are 100% natural and use high quality ingredients to achieve a great homemade taste. They are fat free, gluten free, contain no preservatives, no added MSG and no artificial flavors. Progresso broth is available in chicken and reduced sodium chicken and beef flavors.

Personalized Plates for Kids

I’ve been searcing for a personalized gift for the children on my holiday gift list. I came across some personalized melamine plates and thought they would be perfect. What could make mealtime more fun than your very own plate? It is also a good way to teach preschoolers how to spell their name. The will see it emblazoned across their plate at every meal. That is assuming they eat their food and uncover the design underneath! These plates are the modern day version of the circular piece of paper I drew on as a kid and my mom sent it away to be laminated and returned to us. It was special to eat on my own personalized plate and I loved to eat my meals on it. I’ve found several personalized plates, a bit more sophisticated than the designs back in the day. You may even find some that coordinate with your home’s decor. The letter to Santa plate can be customized with a custom letter from your kids. Sweet! There are several sites which offer these plates and one place I always turn to again and again for personalized childrens items is Etsy
