SweatPea3 mP3 digital music player

Sweetpea3Like most babies and toddlers Madelyn, my 18 month old, loves music.  When she hears music in a commercial or a show, she bounces, spins, claps, and
makes musical sounds.

A great addition to our every growing baby gadget collection, the SweetPea3 provides Madelyn with an almost never ending supply of favorite tunes.  Her hands down favorite song included on the SweetPea3 is ‘Monkeys on the Bed’ by Susie Tallman

The SweetPea3 has its own speaker so earphones aren’t necessary.  It can be hung on a door knob and has easy to use controls including volume, play, stop, and parents can even change playlists. Speaking of playlists.. the SweetPea3 can hold up to three playlists. Playlists are great for different types of songs such as playtime songs, bedtime songs, and maybe songs for your older child to listen to in the car.  Your own mp3 songs can be added easily using the included USB cord.

Soothe your baby to sleep with nature, white noise, or heartbeat sounds. Plug
in the adapter to keep SweetPea3 playing through the night – no need to change
batteries!

Sebastian, my eight year old, has slept with the SweetPea3 under his pillow since we got it about a week ago. He loves it just as much as Madelyn.

SweetPea3 Features:

  • Safe speaker design does not require headphones
  • Parents control volume and programming
  • Stores up to four hours of music
  • Durable rubber overmolded design
  • Small, easy to carry
  • Over 40 hours on a single AA battery
  • AC power adapter
  • Ages 0 – 8 – even a baby can use it!

Microsoft Student with Encarta

Box_studentBy the time Sebastian does his homework in the afternoon or evening, my brain is usually useless.  One day, Sebastian asked me how many sides a trapezoid has. I had to tell him I didn’t know. That was embarrassing.  Now that we have Microsoft Student, I don’t have to say ‘I don’t know’ anymore.
Finding the answer to his question was as easy as 1-2-3!  I simply opened the program, clicked on the "Math Tools" button on the home screen, then typed "trapezoid" in the search bar. Up came relevant results. The snapshot below is one of the results, complete with a picture, the definition of trapezoid, and related information.

Microsoft Student is great for households with pre-teens and teenagers.

As Mom Expert Rachel Hamman has said, "If only a tool like this existed when I was in school! Microsoft Student
is an amazing homework aid, which sets itself apart from anything out
there. It provides my daughter with tutorials on math, science and
foreign languages. If you are like me, it’s been a few years since
you’ve done quadratic equations or solved for "x" and this product
fills in when your own knowledge is not adequate. The program also
provides templates for creating comprehensive presentations. Microsoft Student
utilizes Encarta Online Encyclopedia, which has links to 25,000
prescreened, age-appropriate websites, where I can rest assured that
I’m getting factual and accurate information. Microsoft Student has allowed my daughter to spend less time seeking for information and enables her to spend more time learning!"

This is a snap shot of  Encarta Kids which is Sebastian’s favorite feature of Microsoft Student with Encarta.  He can browse by subject or type in a search phrase such as ‘skateboarding’ and get instant results including photographs, videos, and text.

Microsoft Student with Encarta is well worth the $49.99!  It will save you and your teen hours of frustration.

DoodleScarf

Doodlesprouts_3

Is that not the cutest name?  Besides having a cute name, the Doodlescarf is one of the most innovative apparel accessories I’ve seen.

Picture this..it’s a cold school night. You are out of milk for in the morning. Your kids won’t eat their cereal without milk. You have to go to the store. UGHH!  You grab your purse, your cell phone, your keys, etc.. You are a mess!  OR you grab your scarf, put your cell phone, wallet and keys in the convenient pockets and be on your way.  Sounds much better doesn’t it?

I love my plaid DoodleScarf. Two pockets, one at each end of the scarf, hold gadgets, toys, and more,  easily and comfortably. The scarf is made from a very soft flannel on one side and fleece on the other.

DoodleScarfs aren’t just for grown ups.  Kids will enjoy the comfort and fun of their own DoodleScarf.  Sebastian has worn my DoodleScarf on more than one occasion and let me tell you.. he takes advantage of the pockets.  He will put anything and everything in the pockets.  One day he had one of those little flippy spiral notebooks, a pencil, eraser, his camo wallet, tissues (allergies), and a few other things in his pockets and he was so proud of himself. It was so cute!  Oh, and he is 8 years old.

A warm, functional, fun, comfortable, and stylish scarf all for just $20.
