Shaun the Sheep Movie in Theaters August 5 | Enter to win a Shaun the Sheep Movie Prize Pack!

If you’ve been to a movie lately you’ve seen the trailer for “Shaun the Sheep Movie“. From the creators of Chicken Run and Wallace and Gromit this movie will be a huge hit with your kids and you’ll love it too! Landing in theatres August 5th, “Shaun the Sheep Movie“ is easy to follow for the youngest of viewers, even though it features zero dialogue. Shaun is the smart one in a herd of goofy wooly stop-motion English sheep who spend their days doing typical sheep things while their caring Farmer keeps them in line with a very stringent schedule. Shaun and his pals leave the safety of their farm and head into the netherworld of the nearby town in search of their loving, long-time farmer, who has amnesia. This is when things, almost everything, seems to go wrong! The sheep must adopt disguises and evade the animal catcher, Trumper, in order to find their farmer in the Big City.

At just an hour and 25 minutes long, the claymation movie flies by with laughs, oohs, and ahhs. The film geared for ages 4-10 stars the popular characters from the long-running children’s television series of the same name. Meet the movie’s youngest character, Timmy who enjoys copying everything Shaun does in the “Meet Timmy” Featurette below.

Adults will find humor in the film through the use of dialog-free smart wisecracks, visual film puns, including a sequence satirising Silence of the Lambs. This claymation film wasn’t quick to come to fruition. Standing seven inches tall, Shaun’s clay model was posed, poked, and reshaped thousands of times resulting in a high quality claymation film you won’t believe isn’t computer generated. The textures are unbelievable with Shaun’s fleece even having to be stiffened with PVA glue to stop it from catching fire! Shaun is a true sport! 😉 Model makers crafted 157 human figures and 197 sheep puppets—including 21 for Shaun alone. Each sheep needed to be covered with 31 inches of fleece. The miniature environments featured in this film overflow with lovingly rendered detail.

We’re planning to take my daughter and a friend to see Shaun the Sheep Movie when it comes out in theatres this week. It’ll be a end-of-the-first-week-of-school celebration!

Every year around the beginning of November, once Halloween has passed, I think I’ll get creative and make things to give friends and family for Christmas. This year I went as far as searching Pinterest for DIY craft ideas made out of tin cans, baby food jars, buttons, etc.. I was really in a creative mood.. in November. December is here now and I just want to do what’s easy. What’s easy, for me, is buying gifts. My kids like to give their teachers crafty gifts so we usually go to holiday markets and festivals where we find the most beautiful handmade items to give as gifts.

I usually go to a store’s website on my laptop and often use a store’s app on my Android phone or iPhone to catch up on shopping while sitting outside or in the carpool line. I use an app because for some reason I feel guilty if I shop online during work hours even though I work from home. It’s when I sneak outside to get some fresh air (aka away from the kids) that I launch a shopping app and order the things we need that I don’t want to go to the store for.

I’ll be honest, I am not a fan of going to big stores to shop. I’d rather pay a little extra and have stuff delivered to my house – than sit in traffic, take the kids, wander around the store aimlessly looking for stuff, and then wait in line to check-out. Some things that I buy online 80%+ of the time are paper towels, toilet paper, detergents, cleaning supplies, pet supplies, office supplies, staple clothing for the kids like socks, and beauty supplies. It’s well known that Walmart almost always has the best price on everything, so why not take advantage of the low prices and not have to go into the store?! It’s a win/win!

Walmart.com offers the great variety and savings on everyday low prices that you’ve come to love at your local Walmart, especially on your favorite P&G products. We have P&G products in almost every room of our house and you probably do too. A few P&G products we use every that are available at Walmart.com at low prices are Tide 2x Ultra For High Efficiency Machines Liquid Laundry Detergent, Bounty Select-A-Size Paper Towels, and Charmin Ultra Soft Toilet Paper Mega Rolls. When you select an item in the Walmart app you will see the item’s price, ratings and reviews for the item, store availability, an ‘add to cart’ button, ‘save for later’ button, product description, and related products.

About the Walmart App

Always visible at the top of the app in Android is the search function, share function, and your cart so you can see how many items you’ve added to your cart. Always visible in the iPhone app is a ‘List’ button, ‘Store’ button, and your shopping cart. Searching for products is not quite as easy in the iPhone app as it is in the Android app. Once you finish selecting items and putting them in your cart, simply click the shopping cart icon to check out.

You can choose to have your purchases delivered to your Walmart store for free delivery or shipped to your house free with orders over $50. If easy, at-home shopping and low prices isn’t enough to convince you to download the free Walmart app, the app recognizes when you’re in a Walmart store and provides easy access to the weekly ad, store information, new items, Rollbacks and more.

By using the Walmart smartphone app, you can easily build a shopping list by scanning all the products you’re ready to purchase again. This is great for things like my son’s body wash which he is really picky about and if I don’t get the right thing he’ll all but refuse to use it. I can just scan it and know I am adding the right product to my shopping list!

Every school day when the kids come home they run straight to the kitchen to grab a snack. My daughter will usually pick an orange or strawberries but my son prefers something crunchy which is mostly potato chips or those mixed snacks bags. I have been going over the labels on his snacks with him for the last few months and we both find the sodium and fat content in most of the salty snacks kids eat, alarming, not to mention the artificial flavors and ingredients.
