Firefly Cell Phone for Kids

I have considered getting the Firefly for my 6 year old son Sebastian for a few months now.

Features:
Up to 6 hours of talk time on one charge and 205 hours of standby time.
12 ring tones to choose from
Kids can speed dial Mom, Dad, and Emergancy Assistance (911)
There is a PIN protected phone book where up to 20 numbers can be stored.
The child can’t view the phone number of his/her phone so they can’t give the number out.

Would you buy this phone for your child ages 6-13?

iPod Covers

I have an iPod Video and have had a really hard time with the "handling" of it by my son and my husband. They seem to think it’s invinsible. IT’S NOT!!!

Upon searching for ipod covers and ipod cases, I came to this website where there are tons of great fabrics to choose from that are actually cool looking.

Where to buy: Gerbera Designs

IKEA Crib

This crib from IKEA converts into a "toddler bed" which is something most parents would love.

The bed base can be placed at two different heights.
Slatted bed base for effective air circulation.

Conceal Bookshelf

I think this is a really cool idea. There’s not an actual shelf but instead you place book on top of book on this "bookshelf".

I don’t know if I would put this in my son’s room for fear that he would grab one of the books in the middle of the stack and the rest would come tumbling down, but I would definitely use these in my office.

Where to buy:  Umbra Store
Cost: approx. $12

Laughing Pizza

I took my 6 year old son Sebastian to the Laughing Pizza show here in Atlanta and he absolutely loved them!  Laughing Pizza is a ‘family bank’ made up of a Mom, Dad and young Daughter who all have great signing voices and personalities. The kids attending the show were instantly involved in the signing and dance moves first perfomred by the band and then practiced by the kids until they had it down pat for the song.

Laughing Pizza’s songs are up-beat, on subjects kids can relate to such as going to school, waiting for Dad at the hardware store and more.

Check out the Laughing Pizza website.
