Before you read any further, take note that Elmo Live is available for pre-order at Wal-Mart.com, Amazon.com, and eToys.com. Prices for Elmo Live start at $59 at Wal-Mart and go well over $100 on Amazon.  Prices vary because some people have pre-ordered Elmo Live knowing that stores are probably going to run out and they will get a lot of money re-selling the toy themselves.

Elmo Live will be on store shelves October 14th. I highly recommend pre-ordering.  You can use the links above to buy Elmo Live online.

Chris Byrne, aka The Toy Guy®, calls Elmo Live an industry changing toy. “Elmo Live delivers a rich play experience that is engaging and interactive. It’s as close to being with Elmo in the fur as any toy has ever been,” he says. “We anticipate that this will be sold out very early in the season, so taking advantage of this pre-sale opportunity will be a key strategy for anyone who wants to score one of these toys.”

Back to school with Oompa Toys

Oompa_allerhand_coolkids_messengerbWhen I walk through the halls at Sebastian’s school, I see kids carrying all types of backpacks and bags.  Gone are the days of the traditional school backpack.  Solid colors, two pockets and if you were lucky it came with a matching pencil case.

Oompa Toys is a great place to shop for your child’s next backpack, pencil case, and lunch bag.  Their selection of school supplies is just like their selection of toys.  Colorful, stylish and best of all (for parents anyway), functional.

For example, tOompa_allerhand_messenger_sebastianhe Allerhand Cool Kids Messenger Bag is the perfect size for kids, comes in two colors, and has lots of pockets to keep folders, agenda’s, and pencils in, and even has an insulated water bottle holder.

Sebastian’s favorite things about this messenger bag are the pockets and the insulated water bottle holder.  He told me the other day that the goldfish snacks he has during class make him very thirsty.  I don’t remember getting a snack when I was in school!?  Some other cool features are the splash bag that will keep your child’s mp3 player or cell phone dry when he gets off the bus in the rain and the adjustable and padded shoulder strap.

Check out this messenger bag and other awesome school supplies at Oompa Toys, today!!  You’ll love browsing the Oompa Toys website.

If they run out of stock of this messenger bag you can request to get an email when it is back in stock.

Alphabet Magnets from Eager Mind

Eager_mind_letter_magnets1_2
Madelyn really enjoys Eager Mind’s alphabet magnets.  Available in lower case and upper case magnet sets, these will help your toddler learn to recognize both.  Each letter magnet has a corresponding
picture such as ‘rocket’ for R and ‘slide’ for S and the magnets are a
good size for little hands at about 1 inch wide and 2 inches tall.

Madelyn puts the magnets on other things like my mixing bowl or a baking sheet and now that she knows they don’t have to go on the fridge, she tries sticking them on just about anything including the air vents and the hinges on cabinet doors.  I find them in the strangest places.  These would actually make a great travel toy if you have a magnetic board you can take in the car.  The magnets are very strong which is great but Madelyn has had to slide a magnet or two off of the refrigerator instead of pulling it off because the magnet was so strong.

Mommy tip:  These magnets are great for leaving short, to the point messages for your husband like ‘clean up’ or ‘bath’.  OK, so they are hints, not messages. 🙂

Giveaway:  We are giving away a few sets of Eager Mind alphabet magnets!  Just stay tuned to find out when the giveaway starts.

Price: $8.95 for a set of upper case or lower case alphabet magnets

Designer baby & kids clothes: buttery soft dresses, and whimsical fairy tanks

When you shop Baby Eggi, you not only get amazing designer clothing for your little ‘chick’ or ‘dude’, but you also get incredible quality and best of all it’s affordable.    Founders, and parents themselves, Jennifer and Julie are well
aware of the need as parents to dress our children in fashionable, high
quality clothing that is affordable priced.  Who would have thought?  They accomplished both with their line of baby and children’s clothing.   Several of the tees and tanks feature the artwork of famed LA based tattoo artist and father of two, Mark Mahoney, making them truly unique.

The ribbed tank for ‘chicks’ has a whimsical fairy on it while the ‘dudes’ tee’s have designs including dragons, tigers, and tattoo style lettering saying "Forgive Me".  How funny is that?

Madelyn is wearing the fairy ribbed tank and the hooded dress below.

Baby Eggi’s hooded dress is buttery soft.  The first time Madelyn wore the hooded dress, she twirled around and rubbed the dress against her tummy with a huge smile.  It was adorable!

You’ve got to stock up on these.  You can get a pack of seven ‘Days of the week’ onesie’s for $28.  I just can’t get over the price for such cute and quality clothes.  Most of the shirts, dresses, and tanks are available in two or more colors and sizes up to 4T.

biome5: organic clothes for kids

I dont’ know how many times I have refered to Madelyn as a little monkey.   We had to get her out of her crib before she turned one because she tried to climb out of it.  She climbs as high as she possibly can in any given situation.

I was excited when I received a cute biome5 Monkey tee for Madelyn because it describes her perfectly.   And as if cute isn’t enough, biome5 tee’s are educational.  Shh, don’t tell your toddler.  How can a tee be educational you ask?  On each shirt, a huge letter is printed with an animal whose name starts with the letter.   The M tee has a cute monkey on it while the Z tee has .. I bet you can guess.. a zebra.  The colors are vibrant and on most designs, the animal printed on the tee looks like a photographed image making the animal easy to recognize.  You child has probably seen most of the animals at the zoo, aquarium, or in your own backyard.

Biome5

Tee’s are available in 2T, 4T, and 6T short sleeve and long sleeve and the onesie is available in 3-6 months and 6-12 months sizes.  All of the designs are gender neutral so you are not limited to the number of tee’s or onesies you buy for your child.

Oh, and what’s really neat is that the name of the animal on the shirt is printed upside down so your child can read it while wearing the tee.  That is such a cool idea!  biome5 tee’s give toddlers the opportunity to work on learning the alphabet and phonetics while wearing an awesome tee.
