Review of Joobles – the cutest little animals, from FairIndigo.com

Joobles from FairIndigo.comThese are the cutest little animals!

I recently got Bella, a huggable little bunny with lots of personality, to review and think moms are going to want to keep these to themselves.  Don't kid yourself.. you're going to be jealous of your kids if you don't buy a Jooble for yourself.  I am a huge snuggler and always have something in my arms at night.  I found my new favorite!

Joobles are made of 100% soft organic yarns and eco-friendly dyes and are about 11 inches tall making them super snuggly and perfect for little hands to hold.

Joobles are very special in that they are made fairly in Peru under fair trade conditions which is a rapidly gJoobles from FairIndigo.com
rowing movement dedicated to paying workers fair wages rather than minimum ones and to providing workers with a safe and healthy working environment.

Joobles are GREAT stocking stuffers!

Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Smart Bounce & Spin Pony

Madelyn had the first Fisher-Price bounce and play toy, it was a zebra.  It Bounce and Learn Pony
stayed in our living room for over a year and half and it was so cute because she would randomly get on and bounce and spin.

Now, we have the Bounce and Learn Pony in our living room and it's a totally different experience and she appears to be having just as much if not more fun with it.

The Bounce and Learn Pony is an active learning toy that interacts with the television.  The Pony uses a wireless device to connect with the TV delivering animated content.  Madelyn interacts with the toy and TV by bouncing up and down and spinning a roller on the handle bars.  I can choose the level of play and audio options (really handy!) so as she has learned skills it is easy to move up to the next level.  There was a little bit of a learning curve so you will want to stay in the room the first few times your toddler gets on the Bounce and Learn Pony.  After that, you should be able to run into the kitchen to fix dinner or vacum a couploe of rooms.  The Bounce and Learn Pony doesn't have to be connected with the TV to be interactive.   It will still play songs and sound effects from the pony itself.

Build-A-Bear Workshop offers even more animals before for just $10

Build-a-Bear Workshop Moose

I'm determined to show some holiday spirit this year, at least inside our house.  Our excuse the last few years has been that we (Tim and I) have been so busy with the kids, work, etc. that we didn't have time to get up in the attic to get the holiday decorations down and then put them out.  Check back in a couple of weeks and I'll let you know how holiday decorating is going this year.

I got a cute little Build-A-Bear Workshop animal for review a couple of weeks ago and that's when I realized that I don't have to crawl around the attic to find decorative holiday stuff.   Adding a touch of holiday spirit can be as easy as putting a cute holiday spirited stuffed animal on a chair.  That's easy enough.  I'll try to do more but dressing up a stuffed animal in red and green and calling him Rudolph.. for a few weeks at least will make me feel better.

Build-A-Bear Workshop has a huge selection of animals, including the moose you see here, and tons of adorable dress up outfits and accessories.  The animals are super cute with faces full of personality and have exquisitely soft fur.

Buying a Build-A-Bear Workshop bear is easy.  Here's how you can do it:

  • Go to the Build-A-Bear Workshop website
  • Choose an animal
  • Choose an outfit
  • Choose a sound
  • Choose accessories
  • Order your animal and it will arrive at your doorstep in a Cub Condo® carrying case.

Have Fun!

Little People Learn About Town

Little-people-madelynWe've had Little People in our home since 2001 when Sebastian was about two.  Granted, they've been in the actic for a few years since but Madelyn is 2
1/2 now and loves Little People.  A few months ago we pulled Sebastian's old Little People Zoo and Airport out of the attic and now she has one in her room and the other in her play room.  The Airport just about went with us to Grandmother's house yesterday, but it's not the most convenient size for traveling with.  From what I see of the new Little People playsets, they are more compact now than they were in 2001.

The Little People Learn About Town playset is compact, unfolds, has a carry handle, and is jam packed full of fun activities and little people.  Madelyn can take Sonya Lee and Eddie to the doctor, the pet
shop or the tree house to play.   There are 4 parts to the Little People Learn About Town with each part having two sides.

The Little People Learn About Town playset is available for about $45 at Amazon.com

Aquadoodle Draw N’ Doodle Mat

The Aquadoodle Draw N' Doodle Mat is so cool!  The mat is 32" x 32" and comes with1 Magic Water Pen.  The first day we had the Aquadoodle mat, I took it with us to my sister's condo so the kids would have something to do before dinner.  Noisy toys aren't compatible with a small condo with hardwood floors so I opted for a perfectly quiet, convenient toy instead and the kids loved it!

Aquadoodle

The mat rolls up so it is easy to carry and take from place to place.  The water pen is great. It doesn't leak, isn't difficult to fill up and holds enough water to last a while.  Madelyn has a blast drawing with the water pen and the drawings last just long enough for her to see what she did.  They don't disapear instantly.
She thinks it's so cool that she can draw with water and I think it is so cool that there isn't any color, or mess involved!
Beware.. if your child sneezes on the Aquadoodle Draw N' Doodle mat you will see lots of little specks on the mat.. I'm just saying.  Not that that's happened or anything.

Price: About $25

You can buy the at Spinmaster Aquadoodle Draw N' Doodle Mat Amazon.com.
