Plane Sorter Pull Toy

Tiddleywiddleyplane
One of the toys that I remember most from my childhood is my little fisher-price pull telephone with the winn up dialer.. do you remember that one?  I LOVED it! I would pull that toy all over the house and I even took it to my Granddad’s house when I was little. I actually remember that!

Now, Madelyn (9 months) has her very own wooden pull toy plane sent to her by Tiddley Widdley that she is enjoying as much as I remember enjoying my little pull telephone. This incredible Plane Sorter Pull Toy by Boikido does it all. Not only does Madelyn pull the plane around the house, but she also plays with the three different colored passengers that each have a uniquely shaped base so she can work on learning her shapes and colors. (She’s going to be a genius!)

With the simple push of a button, the plane makes a neat flying sound so Madelyn is learning to identify that sound with the planes she see’s outside.

The bright colors, and the design, give the Boikido Plane Sorter Pull Toy a whimsical spin to the classic wooden toys we loved as children.

Myself Belts – They make life a little easier!

As most of you know, I have a seven year old son, Sebastian. Sebastian loves to be like Daddy and Daddy wears a belt.  So, Sebastian always wants to wear a belt. . just like Dad. However, he learned quickly that Dad must have a trick up his sleeve because it takes him about 5 seconds to put his belt on and it would take Sebastian about 5 minutes of spinning himself around and around in one spot before  getting his belt through all the loops and then buckling it. He was a real sport though. As long as he looked like Dad, everything was OK. The patience of a 6 year old!  I wish I had it.Myselfbeltes

Sebastian’s belt routine became a whole lot easier when he recieved a Myself Belt to try out. He caught on to the three simple steps to the Myself Belt very quickly and life has been a breeze since. (at least that few seconds, anyway)

Sebastian was able to figure out how to put on his Myself Belt the first time which really impressed me. I know your child will do the same. All the child does is snap the end of the belt around the front right belt loop to secure the belt, first. No more dangling belt. Then he slides the rest of the belt through the loops. He has since learned that standing still works a little better than spinning around and around when putting the belt through the loops. The last step is to join the ends together via the Velcro on both ends. That’s it! He’s done!!  What a relief.

I recommend a Myself Belt or two, or three, for your kids ages 2-6. Myself Belts are a great way to give your kids a sense of self accomplishment and help them look like Mom or Dad without taking forever like traditional belts.

Myself Belts are available in sizes for 2 – 6 year olds and larger sizes are available as well. Parents can choose from several styles for both boys and girls. My favorite girl belt is the Pink Cordouroy and my favorite boy belt is the Camoflauge.  Don’t worry, your kids can also have a Myself Belt for fancier occasions like Church, going to Grandma’s house, etc as they offer nice black and brown leather belts for both boys and girls.

Baby Pro DVD’s – Encouraging active play..

Babyprotumble
I have a lot to say about BABY PRO DVD’s! I am really excited to share BABY PRO with you.

Most of you know that I have two kids. My son, Sebastian is 7, and Madelyn was born in May of 2006.

Sebastian was obviously an only child for many years and got A LOT of attention from us.. too much attention and not enough interactivity with other kids. Sebastian is more comfortable interacting with adults than he is with other kids which I hear is normal for only children. One unexpected issue with him being an only child for so long is that we didn’t get him involved with other children or in social activities at an early age because we wanted to be with him all of the time. He was (and still is) our baby.

So, my goal is to socialize Madelyn at a young age so she isn’t so shy and wants to be involved in social activities and sports unlike Sebastian.

I realized when I received a couple of BABY PRO DVD’s that these programs are a great first step in the socialization process.  Baby Pro DVD’s introduce baby’s to activities and sports in a very entertaining way. Baby Pro DVD’s are not overly stimulating with bright colors and fast movements. These programs feature baby’s, and older kids participating in every day activities such as tumbling, swimming, and ball sports. It has been so exciting to watch as Madelyn tries to imitate the baby’s and kids on the DVD’s when they tumble. She loves to watch the baby’s and the kids on the DVD’s.

Baby Pro DVD’s give baby’s the advantage of observing a lot of children without mom having a house full of them!

BabyPro’s DVDs are made to grow with your baby. Each video features seven chapters.  Parents can choose from a chapter with as few as ten minutes of programming or 30+ minutes of  programming. This is great for parents with more than one child as the younger baby’s with short attention spans may only want to watch 10 minutes but mom can turn on a longer chapter for the older kids with longer attention spans.

Experts are cheering BabyPro’s dynamic new addition to children’s video entertainment! Featuring sports themes from balls to cheerleading, BabyPro videos combine classical music and Baby-to-Pro

lifestyle, so parents won’t be left feeling guilty about plopping  their little ones in front of the TV. Ages 9 months to 4 years.

Reversible romper – Right Bank Babies

Rightbankbabies
I don’t know about you, but I like to look at my baby books and see how things like clothing, furniture, decor, hair styles, have changed in the last 30+ years. There are a few things that we hope will come back and some things that we hope will not come back such as the 1970’s hair styles.  Right Bank Babies has brought the classic baby romper back, but in not so classic patterns.

Right Bank Baby rompers are reversable so you really have two great outfits for your baby.

We’ve all done it.. we are out of the house, baby gets her shirt dirty (no names mentioned!), so baby’s shirt is turned in side out so as to not gross out baby’s crazed fans. Ok, that was a little dramatic, but it’s the truth. It happens. Now, when your baby is wearing her Right Bank Baby reversable romper, you can turn it in side out and your baby is actually wearing a whole new outfit… and mom looks prepared!  Your in-laws will be so impressed.

Right Bank Baby reversable romper patterns cater to both boys and girls and moms with all types of style including classic, modern, hip, trendy, and whimsical.

My camera is out of commission today but I hope to include a photograph of Madleyn wearing her ‘flaming’ Right Bank Baby reversable romper later today.

My Hat Heads – baby hats and scarfs

Myhatheads1
This is Madelyn (8 months) in her My Hat Heads hat and scarf. I can’t get over how cute she looks in these! (at least I think so) What’s even better is how soft they are and how warm they keep her. It has been in the 40’s and 50’s here in Atlanta lately and I like to be outside so I have been bundling Madelyn up in lots of blankets to keep her warm. Now she has her very own hat and scarf!

My Hat Heads offers their hats and scarfs in pre-made styles, of which there are a lot, and custom styles.  When you choose the custom design option you can choose the fabric pattern and the hat style. Madelyn’s hat is the pom pom style.  Most of the hats come with a scarf.

My Hat Heads also sells bib, blankets, burp cloths, tag-ees, and gift certificates!

UPDATE: Most of you know that Sebastian is my durability tester.  Well, I learned this morning that My Hat Heads pieces are VERY durable. How did I learn that?   A little game of tug-o-war. Don’t ask! Anyway.. the scarf handled the game very and I’m sure the hat would have as well if the ‘game’ wasn’t abrutly ended.. by the mean mom.. me.  I am guessing that the pieces are so durable because of the  stitching around edges. Sometimes I don’t notice how well a piece is made until it is terribly abused by my 7 year old.  It’s great to have a free durability tester on my review panel!
