Miles and miles away from home where we did not know anyone is how my now husband and I started out when we first moved in together.
I was five hours from my family and he was four hours away from his. And of course both families were in opposite directions from each other. We had moved to a town where we could both commute from to our jobs and, of course, they were in opposite directions! We didn’t get to see each other much at first because we worked different schedules. I went from a town that everyone knew everyone to a town where I didn’t even know one person. It was awful, but we started to make friends at our jobs and come to have a little support system. I really think going through that in the beginning made us stronger and more aware of how to handle what trying times might lay ahead. It made us work together that we otherwise might not have if we had our families around. I believe that it gave us hope that we could handle anything together. When one of us has trying times now we pick the other one up and help push forward. It has been a great journey so far and I can’t wait to see what awaits us in the future!
Allstate Good Life has a new commercial out right now and it is really good!
I know that I still like to play in the rain and hope that I have passed that love on to my children. We have tried really hard to teach our kids that no matter what happens you have to find the good in a situation. You may not find it at first but it’s there you might just have to look a little harder for it.
Allstate’s “Good Hands for the Good Life” is new and different for an insurance company. its voice is of optimism and celebration vs. fear. There are risks everywhere, but we don’t let it hold us back from making our lives good. Allstate is an insurance company who works everyday to help build more good in the lives of their customers.
What kind of fears have you faced and come out on top of? How has that made you stronger?
