Dear Dr. Seuss,
I just wanted to write you a quick letter to say “Happy Birthday”. I’m not sure if you’ll get it but I’ve talked to a few good people who might be able to get this into your hands.
Theodor Seuss Geise, thank you for living such a wonderfully productive, and creative life and for sharing your brilliance and creativity with the world’s children through your books.
- Thank you for helping my children and children all over the world learn to read and WANT to read.
- Thank you for teaching children that it’s ok to imagine and to be silly.
- Thank you for convincing my 5 year old that that’s just a WOSET in her CLOSET, and not a monster after all!
- Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be incredibly silly in front of my children by reading aloud such words as Thneed.
Thank you for bringing families closer for all of these years and years to come. Most importantly, thank you for spreading such wonderful messages such as in The Lorax, in a way that motivates our children to CARE!
All my love,
What’s your favorite Dr. Seuss book?
